At Kestrel Pest Management we understand the concerns that some of our customers have when wanting to eradicate a pest issue; they require an effective service but at the same time want a green solution that poses no risk to the environment. As a responsible company, that cares greatly for the environment, we are being asked more frequently for green pest control products that are less pervasive than conventional pesticides.

We have a range of insecticides that are formulated from the natural insecticides found in plants, that gives our customers the peace of mind that our services are working with the environmentally friendly processes already found in the natural world.
We also utilise novel cutting-edge professional products that use a physical mode of action to control insects. The product is mixed with water and forms a micromesh to ensnare the target insect.
The use of toxic baits (anticoagulants) to control rats and mice has dominated the pest control industry for many years. The overuse and poor practice of these products has resulted in rodenticide residues getting into the food chain and having negative impacts on some of our non-target wildlife. At Kestrel Pest Management we recognise the risks posed by rodenticides and follow stringent protocols to mitigate risks posed whilst using rodenticides. However, there is a growing requirement from some of our clients to use control methods other than anticoagulant baits. To accommodate this preference for environmentally friendly rodent control we employ the latest and most advanced products:
We use a product that has just been released onto the professional market that control rats and mice and poses much lower risks to non-target wildlife. It works far quicker than anticoagulant baits, is not bioaccumulative and is not persistent.
We also use the latest trapping technology to remove rat and mice infestations from homes and businesses when the use of toxic baits is either inappropriate or undesirable for the client.
The adoption of a more responsible and sustainable attitude to the environment has seen the advancement in products that provide a greener alternative to pervasive insecticides and anticoagulant rodenticides. The use of traditional trapping is making a comeback, which is an art form that cannot be learnt overnight and therefore a skill that has seen our trapping services see a huge increase in demand. Kestrel Pest Management recognise the sea of change towards environmentally friendly products and are committed to provide an alternative for our customers.
